SHIBARI MALAYSIA BOOKING POLICY

All bookings are subject to these policies. Effective from 1st June 2026.

We hold this space with care, and we ask that you meet it with the same. Every booking reserves a place in a small cohort, time held by Shibari Malaysia and energy prepared specifically for you. These policies exist to be fair to all parties. By booking with Shibari Malaysia, you confirm you have read and agreed to all of the following.

1- REFUND POLICY

All payments are non-refundable. Our workshops and courses have limited spaces, and each booking reserves a place that cannot always be filled if cancelled at short notice. We also invest significant time and resources into preparation, venue, materials, and facilitation before the event begins.

However, we understand that life happens sometimes and plans and commitments change, and we are happy to reschedule your session.

2- RESCHEDULING POLICY

Intro workshops

Rescheduling for intro workshops are only applicable if you let us know at least 6 hours before the workshop start time.

No shows will result in a forfeit of your spot.

You may transfer your workshop spot to a private session or a group session and pay the remainder balance to offset. Please contact us directly via email to arrange this.

You may also transfer your spot to another person of your choice, but you will need to transfer it at least 3 days before the workshop to give us adequate time to make the necessary arrangements.

Only one time transfer can take place per booking.

All rescheduling must happen within 3 months of booking and is the responsibility of the client to reschedule with us within that time frame.

Group series

During the 6 week group series, we are not able to replace missed classes as each week we will follow a syllabus. Thus, missed classes cannot be rescheduled or replaced.

However, due to emergency situations where you will not be able to attend 3 or more classes in a row, and wish to reschedule to the next term, please contact us directly via email. We will decide on a case by case basis and reserve the right to deny reschedules.

Rescheduling of full terms will only be applicable to the next direct term and not any other future terms.

You may not change group series to private sessions.

Spots are only transferable to other people via written consent from our team. Please email us if you wish to transfer your group spot to someone else.

Private sessions

You can reschedule all private sessions 1 time with no reason given up to six hours before your session. We want you to feel your best for your session, and if you are having soreness, lethargy, fatigue or general discomfort in your body that day, we recommend you reschedule to get the most out of your session.

Reschedules must happen within 3 months from the date of your first booking.

If a no-show happens, the session is forfeited in full.

3-  CANCELLATION

In the rare event that a class or session must be cancelled by us due to illness, emergency, or insufficient enrolment, you will be offered one of the following:

Option A: reschedule to the next available date for the same offering.

Option B: a credit for the full amount paid, valid for 6 months from the date of cancellation. This is the only circumstance under which a credit may be issued.

Credits cannot be requested by the client for any other reason.

If we cancel a class less than 24 hours before the start time, you will be offered the two options above or you may receive your full amount back via bank transfer.

4-  TRANSFERABILITY

Bookings are transferable to other people but must be agreed in writing with Shibari Malaysia beforehand. The practice involves trust, space, and personal preparation. We want to know who is in the room.

5-  LATE ARRIVAL

Out of respect for the practice and the other students, late arrivals of more than 15 minutes may not be admitted, especially for group classes. The session begins with grounding and breathwork that cannot be entered mid-way. Forfeit of the session in such cases is at Shibari Malaysia’s discretion.

6-  HEALTH AND SAFETY

You agree to inform Shibari Malaysia of any physical conditions, injuries, pregnancies, or medical considerations before each session, both at booking and on the day if anything has changed.

Shibari Malaysia reserves the right to modify or refuse instruction if safety concerns arise, with no refund.

If you take any medication that affects circulation, sensation, or consciousness, you must disclose this in your intake form.

You are expected to not consume any alcohol or drugs during the sessions.

You participate at your own risk. Shibari Malaysia are not liable for injuries arising from undisclosed conditions or failure to follow safety instructions.

7-  CODE OF CONDOCT

This is a wellness practice. We hold a safe, respectful, non-sexualized space.

All participants are expected to engage with respect, presence, and consent.

Sexualized behavior, comments, or advances toward the practitioner or any participant are strictly prohibited.

Any behavior that compromises the safety, comfort, or dignity of anyone in the space will result in immediate removal without refund.

Photography or video recording during sessions is not permitted unless explicitly agreed with all participants beforehand.

What is shared in the space stays in the space. We ask all participants to respect the privacy of others in the cohort.

8-  COUPLES BOOKINGS

Couples bookings are made as a single unit. Both partners must be present at every session.

If one partner cannot attend, the other may not attend solo without prior agreement from Shibari Malaysia.

If a couple separates mid-series, the booking is non-refundable. One partner may complete the remaining sessions with Shibari Malaysia’s agreement.

Couples bookings cannot be split into two separate solo bookings after purchase.

9-  PAYMENT

Full payment is required at the time of booking to secure your place.

10- AGREEMENT

By completing your booking with Shibari Malaysia, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to all of the policies above. These policies may be updated from time to time. The version in effect at the time of your booking applies to that booking.
